Website cost in 2026: what a 5-page business site costs, line by line
Short answer
A 5-page business website has no fixed market price. In Turkey, for example, Armut showed an average range of 3,500 to 111,110 lira on 7 November 2026, and Karekod gave 17,000 to 67,000 lira for a business site in May 2026. On top come yearly domain and hosting renewals and, if you want it, monthly maintenance. At Bulsu Labs the same job is €250 one-time with the first year of hosting and domain included, and maintenance is optional at €29.99 a month.
Ask three providers what a website costs and the quotes can differ tenfold. Usually the difference is the scope, not the price. One quote covers design only, another also includes the domain, hosting and a year of maintenance.
This guide splits the cost of a 5-page business website into its parts: domain, hosting, SSL, design and build, text and images, legal pages and maintenance. We use Turkey as the market example, because it has public, dated price ranges, and give the source and date for every figure. At the end there is a checklist for comparing quotes.
What the market says in 2026
There is no official price list for websites. The two most concrete sources we found are these:
- Armut's website building price page, a Turkish service marketplace, showed an average range of 3,500 to 111,110 Turkish lira when we checked on 7 November 2026. The figures come from requests and quotes on the platform.
- A Karekod article dated 27 May 2026 gives 17,000 to 67,000 lira for a business website. It puts hosting at 3,000 to 50,000 lira a year and technical maintenance at 2,000 to 25,000 lira a month.
A range this wide is no surprise. Putting a logo on a ready template is not the same job as drawing 5 pages from scratch, writing the text and taking the photos. So look at the line items, not the total.
Line by line: what a 5-page site costs
| Item | What it is | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Domain | Your address, such as yourcompany.com, renewed every year | First-year and renewal price, whose name it is registered in |
| Hosting | The server where the site's files live | Yearly fee, renewal price, backups |
| SSL | The padlock and https in the address bar | Is it charged, who renews it |
| Design and build | How the pages look and work on a phone | How many pages, how many revision rounds, delivery date |
| Page text | Home, about, products, contact | Who writes it, in how many languages |
| Images | Product, team and premises photos | Do you supply them, are they licensed |
| Legal pages | Privacy notice, cookie information and consent | Are they in scope, is a consent banner set up |
| Maintenance | Updates, backups, small changes | Hours included per month, how to cancel |
Domain, hosting and SSL: the yearly items
The real trap with domains is the first-year discount. Karekod's domain price table, updated on 2 November 2026, lists a .com.tr at one Turkish registrar for 109 lira in the first year and 299 lira on renewal, and a .com at 589.76 and 782.22 lira (excluding VAT). For a three-year cost, add two renewals to the first-year price. With this table a .com.tr comes to 109 + 299 + 299 = 707 lira over three years, more than six times the first-year price.
You do not have to pay for SSL. Let's Encrypt gives anyone who owns a domain a trusted certificate at zero cost. If a quote shows SSL as a separate, expensive item, ask why, and ask who renews the certificate.
With hosting, backups matter as much as price: if the server fails, who restores the site and from which backup? The most important question is whose name the domain is registered in. If it is not yours, moving your address when you change provider can get hard. Ask in writing for the domain to be in your name or handed over to you.
Legal pages: privacy notice and cookie consent
A site with a contact form collects personal data, so it needs a privacy notice. The rules depend on where your visitors are. In the EU, GDPR applies. In Turkey, Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) requires people to be informed when their data is collected.
For cookies, the Turkish data protection authority's Cookie Guide of July 2025 is a clear example. It says behavioural advertising cookies need explicit consent given by an active action, so simply visiting the site does not count as consent. First-party analytics that only measure how the site works are assessed separately. If you plan to add an advertising pixel, you need a real consent banner. Ask whether the quote includes one.
Maintenance: what you pay monthly and what you get
Maintenance is the site's life after launch: hosting and domain renewals, backups, security updates and small content changes. The Karekod range of 2,000 to 25,000 lira a month shows how much that scope can vary.
Get these four things in writing:
- How many hours or changes are included each month, and whether unused time carries over.
- How often backups are taken.
- How extra work is priced, and whether it happens without your approval.
- How the site, source files and domain are handed over when you stop.
A 5-page site that rarely changes does not need maintenance. If you can track the renewal dates yourself, it runs fine without.
Checklist for comparing quotes
- Does the price cover only the build, or the whole first year?
- What do the domain and hosting cost in years 2 and 3?
- Is the domain registered in your name?
- Do you receive the source files?
- Are the number of pages, languages and revision rounds written down?
- Who writes the page text?
- Are the privacy notice and cookie consent in scope?
- Are the delivery date and acceptance criteria written down, and what happens if they are missed?
Doing it yourself with a website builder is also an option. Builders run on a monthly subscription, you pick a template and enter the text yourself. If you have the time and do not need design flexibility, that can be enough. The real cost is your own hours.
Our package: €250 one-time
The Bulsu Labs Website package puts these items in one price. For a one-time €250 you get a mobile-ready site of up to 5 pages, page texts, basic on-page SEO, SSL and the source files. Hosting and the domain for the first year are included. The site goes live in 10 business days.
Maintenance is optional: €29.99 a month from day 31. It covers hosting, the domain, weekly backups, security updates, up to 1 hour of content edits a month and email support. Without maintenance, we hand over the site, the source files and the domain at the end of the first year. If the site misses the written acceptance criteria within 30 days of delivery, we fix it first, and if it still misses them we refund the €250.
If you need more than 5 pages, or a system where forms, a panel and workflows are connected, this package is not the right fit. Each of our automation packages already includes a website, and how much process automation costs explains their prices.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a 5-page business website cost in 2026?
It depends on scope. In Turkey, Armut showed an average of 3,500 to 111,110 lira on 7 November 2026, and Karekod gave 17,000 to 67,000 lira for a business site in May 2026. Compare quotes item by item, not by the total.
How much is website maintenance per month?
Karekod's May 2026 article puts technical maintenance in Turkey at 2,000 to 25,000 lira a month. What matters is what is included: backups, security updates, renewals and how many hours of changes.
How much do a domain and hosting cost per year?
Domains are often cheap in the first year and dearer on renewal. In Karekod's November 2026 table, a .com.tr at one registrar is 109 lira the first year and 299 lira on renewal, excluding VAT. Always ask for the renewal price.
Do I have to pay for an SSL certificate?
No. Let's Encrypt gives anyone who owns a domain a trusted certificate at zero cost. Ask your provider who installs and renews it.
Does my website need a privacy notice and cookie consent?
If it collects personal data, such as through a contact form, it needs a privacy notice. Advertising cookies need consent given by an active action. The exact rules depend on where your visitors are. This is not legal advice.
What is included in the Bulsu Labs Website package?
For €250 one-time: up to 5 pages, page texts, basic on-page SEO, SSL, source files, and hosting and the domain for the first year. Delivery is 10 business days. Maintenance at €29.99 a month from day 31 is optional.
What happens after the first year?
Without maintenance, we hand over the site, the source files and the domain to you, and nothing renews. With maintenance, we keep running the site for as long as the plan is active.
