Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Bulsu Labs ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on bulsulabs.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can remember information about your visit, such as language preference, so you don't have to re-enter it each time. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels.
2. Our approach
We use as few cookies as possible. By default we load only strictly necessary cookies, meaning cookies without which the site cannot function properly. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, behavioral profiling, session replay, or social media pixels.
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary (always active)
Required for basic site functionality (e.g. preserving navigation state, remembering your cookie preferences). These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
- Consent preference: stores your cookie-preference choice (first-party, ~12 months).
- Security tokens: CSRF protection on the contact form (first-party, session only).
3.2 Analytics (only with consent)
If and when we enable privacy-friendly analytics (e.g. Plausible, Fathom, or self-hosted Matomo in anonymized mode), these are used only to measure aggregate visits and help us understand which pages are useful. No personal data, no cross-site tracking, no advertising. We will update this policy and the consent banner before any analytics cookies are set.
3.3 Functional
May be set if you submit the contact form or book a call, by the tools we use for scheduling and email (e.g. our email provider's anti-abuse cookies). We use these providers only for the stated purpose.
4. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising networks. The only third-party cookies that may appear are:
- Our font provider (Google Fonts): we self-host fonts where possible; when a CDN is used, the provider may set cookies under its own policy.
- Our payment processor: only on pages where payment is initiated, under the processor's own cookie policy.
No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Managing cookies
You can control cookies via your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- See what cookies are stored and delete them individually.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Block cookies from particular sites.
- Block all cookies (note: some sites, including ours, may not function correctly).
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser.
Guides for common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
6. Do Not Track
We respect the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal and the Global Privacy Control (GPC) header where it is legally required. If your browser sends DNT or GPC, we will not set non-essential cookies.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the effective date. If changes are material, we will display a notice on the site.
